Minutes 0–3: reach a real reply
Skip long avatar design unless creation is the feature you came to test. Select a character and send one message containing a name preference, a benign fact, and a tone request. Example: “Call me Sam; I restore old radios; answer warmly but keep this non-explicit.”
A pass is a reply that uses the requested name or fact and respects the tone. A fail is a registration wall after the product promised no signup, an error loop, or a canned response that ignores the message. Write down the wall rather than fighting it.
Minutes 4–7: create a memory detour
Ask two unrelated questions—food and music work—then return to the radio fact without repeating it. “What would you put on the workbench for my hobby?” The goal is not long-term memory; it is to see whether the active context remains coherent.
Next, reverse the tone: ask for a flirtier reply while restating the non-explicit boundary. The bot should change warmth without crossing the boundary. If it treats “girlfriend” as permission to ignore you, stop.
Minutes 8–10: break the session safely
Refresh once. Open a second tab. If you are willing, close and reopen the product. Record what remains: character, chat history, fact, and model. Do not paste the old prompt back in. Persistence only counts when the service does the work.
If an account prompt appears, read what it unlocks. Saved history is a different benefit from more messages. A free tier can be generous on text and poor on continuity, or the reverse.
Minutes 11–12: inspect the money edge
| Screen item | Write down | Do not assume |
|---|---|---|
| Upgrade prompt | Feature named and displayed price | That every feature unlocks |
| Credit counter | Balance and reset period | That “credits” equal messages |
| Cancel/delete | Exact route you found | That deleting the app cancels billing |
Decide while the session is still boring
Keep the product only if the free layer was pleasant, the boundary held, and you understand the next limit. Leave if the bot misread a simple instruction or the account path hides basic privacy information. A discount timer is not new evidence.
Candy AI is the labeled sponsored option across this site. Its public pages put it in the adult companion category, but we did not buy a plan for this guide. Run the same checklist there; do not treat our commission as a pass.
Quick answers
Should I test explicit chat immediately?
No. Start with instruction following and a clear non-explicit boundary. That reveals fit without creating an intimate data trail.
What if the bot forgets after refresh?
Decide whether you wanted a disposable session or a continuing companion. For continuity, count that as a fail unless an account clearly provides saved history.
